First opened in 1914, Sonbern Lodge has been a welcome haven for many travelers. Over the years the building has under gone many changes and now offers “Quality” accommodation. All rooms have ensuite, hairdryer, air conditioning, TV, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities as standard features.

The Deluxe Motel units, are located on ground level, behind the Lodge & adjacent the off street car park.  These units offer a higher level of accommodation and open onto the courtyard garden. Extra inclusions are a microwave & toaster, LCD TV & sofa and a larger bathroom. All have split rev.cycle air conditioning.

“Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”. Sonbern Lodge was built as a Guesthouse and is Wallaroo’s only true Motel. This Grand historic building has spent its days providing only accommodation and good hearty meals. A cooked or continental breakfast is still available in the original Dining Room, 7 days a week or a breakfast tray can be delivered  to your unit. Their is “NO BAR or POKIES” at Sonbern Lodge Motel, we offer quiet night right in the heart of the town. Dining is available for evening meals just a very short walk away.   (Our tariffs are very competitive).
